During Feb. 23 assembly by trio of Chinese musicians

FROM ADA ICON - A trio of Chinese musicians will perform traditional music from their homeland during an assembly at Bluffton elementary school on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 23.

The musicians include:

• Yunhe Wang, a recent graduate of Minzu University in Beijing. She plays the sheng, which is similar to a harmonica, and the dizi, a type of flute.

Bluffton Public Library invites patrons to a "Love your library promo release party."

The event is at 6;30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21. The party includes the premier showing a a "Love Your Library" video shot using Bluffton library patrons.

The library staff invites patrons to attend to see if their video testimonies made the cut.

Refreshments will be served.

The Bluffton High School academic team can be seen on TV Channel 44 at 9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, and at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19. The show was previously recorded.

Kenneth Wayne Knitz, 81, died Feb, 14, 2017, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.  Kenneth was born Jan. 24, 1936, in Gibsonburg to the late A. Wayne and Edna (Houtz) Knitz.  On Feb. 10, 1955, he married Nancy Lee Knitz who survives.

Ken graduated from Troy-Luckey High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He retired as a machinist at Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria after 28 years.  Ken was an active member of Pandora United Methodist Church and a 34 year member of the Bloomdale Fire and EMS.

Bluffton Public Library has an elephant and piggy extravaganza.

It's at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, at the library. The event includes games, reading stories and other fun stuff. Contact the library for more details at 419-358-5016.
