Richland Manor, 7400 Swaney Road, Bluffton, will hold a summer ice cream social at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 18.

The event is free and open to the public. In addition to ice cream there will be live entertainment from the Hallalujah Saints Band.

Mennonite Memorial Home residents will celebrate life on the farm on Thursday, July 25. The special farm day event includes morning and afternoon activities related to farming. 

At 6:30 p.m. there will be a display of various farm animals  brought by area 4-H clubs for residents to enjoy.

Riley Creek Baptist Church, 4950 Township Road 27, Bluffton, offers four "Summer Blasts!" for youth in Kindergarten through sixth grade this summer.

The "blasts" are Friday, July 12, July 19, July 26 and Aug. 2. The events are from 2 to 7 p.m. with supper includes plus games, crafts and field trips.

Mustard Seed Cafe, North Main Street, Bluffton, is closed for vacation from Tuesday to Tuesday, July 2 to 9, according to its owners.

The cafe will reopen on Wednesday, July 10.

Premiering on Wednesday, July 3 and playing through Thursday, July 11 will be Despicable Me 2 (PG).

Show times are every evening at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. with daily matinees Wednesday -
Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.. 

Please note that we will be open for all shows on July 4th.

Discover your flower power! Join instructor Lois Wetherill for a flower pounding class at the Bluffton Public Library.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m. on July 23, Lois will teach this technique that transfers the beautiful shapes and colors of fresh plants onto fabric using common household tools. The class is part of the library’s DIG into DIY summer program series.

Registration ends July 18; a $5 materials fee is due at signup. The library is located at 145 S. Main St., Bluffton.
