Bluffton University, once called Bluffton College, was orginally called Central Mennonite College. Here is a photograph of the first-ever building on the campus. It's College Hall, which still exists today.

Several things stand out in this photo:

On Friday March 29, the Pandora Area Churches are having a Community Good Friday Service.

The service will begin at 7 p.m. and the Pandora United Methodist Church, 108 E. Washington St. is the host church this year.

The theme will be ‘The Seven Last Words’ with representatives from various churches participating.

A community choir will be presenting two anthems.

Bluffton Boy Scouts are scouting for food on Sunday and you can help.

Bluffton Boy Scout Troop 256 members have placed yellow bags on the doorsteps of the residents of Bluffton for non-perishable canned food donations for the Bluffton Food Pantry, according to Darrell Groman, assistant scoutmaster.

The Bluffton Scouts will be canvassing Bluffton on Sunday afternoon, March 17. Please place the yellow bag on the front porch by noon, so that it is easily seen from the street.

The Pandora United Methodist Church Choir will be presenting their Easter Cantata, “Who Do You Say That I Am?” written by Lloyd Larson on Sunday, March 24 at 9:30 a.m. during the worship service.

The church is located on SR 12 at 108 East Washington St. in Pandora.

The church service and refreshments in the fellowship hall afterwards are open to the public.

The choir is directed by Pat Basinger and accompanied by Chris Meyer. The Rev. Duane Kemerley is the pastor.
