Attention book lovers:

Friends of the Bluffton Public Library are holding their annual fall book sale. The book selection includes: history, children's books, mysteries, romance, crafts and more.

Proceeds fund library programs.  

Here's the details:
Wednesday, Sept. 23 - 5-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 24 - 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 25 - 9:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 26 - 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (part of Bluffton Fall Festival)

Northwest Physical Therapy's 6th Annual Northwest PokerRun Charity 5K is scheduled for Saturday, October 24. The event will take place at 1880 North Perry Street, Ottawa. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and race begins at 10 a.m.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program.  Registration is $15 prior to October 1, $20 after October 1 and day of event. 

Margaret Houshower, 94, of Bluffton died Sept. 23, 2015 at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Bluffton University men’s soccer team traveled to Springfield and struggled in a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Wittenberg University Tigers on Tuesday, Sept. 22.  The Beavers fell to 0-6 on the campaign while the win pushed the Tigers to 3-5-2.

The second annual Drew Rayle Memorial Football Game and 5/K Night Glow Run is Saturday, Sept. 26, according to sponsors of the event.

This is an epilepsy awareness event that is held at Harmon Field with a 6 p.m. starting time.

The evening begins with a 5th-6th grade Bluffton Buccaneers vs. North Baltimore Tigers midget football game at 6 p.m.

During the game there will be a 50/50 raffle, halftime balloon release and bake sale.

Sorting can be a really mind bender. It can also be rewarding, once everything is in its correct bowl. That's what these two four-year-old students at Bluffton Child Development Center are focusing on: putting the correct items in their correct spot.
