The Icon welcomes a new blogger and columnist, Emily Ulrey. 

Viewers will soon find her blogs and interviews with area senior citizens as a regular Icon feature.

Here's some background on Emily:

I have been a resident of Bluffton for the past 25 years.  I live in Bluffton with my husband, Nate, and our three daughters.

I recently gave up my full time RN job to stay home, which is truly an adventure.

Northwest Conference cross country meet - Bluffton's Jacob Barnett ran the best individual time of 17:00 in winning the boys' race and was voted by the coaches as NWC Male Runner of the Year.  Boone Brubaker (CG; 17:04) finished second with Austin Elick (LV, 17:12) completing the race as the third place finisher.

Here's another view of Bluffton you've not seen in over 40 years. Can you identify the location of these two houses?

The give-away is the Standard Oil station on the far right. It stands on the corner of Main and Jefferson.

The two house eventually became the Lawson's store, now part of Stratton Auto Group.

The World's Best Chicken

From "Kitchen Classics" cookbook from the Bluffton Child Development Center

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 c. Dijon mustard
1/4 c. maple syrup
1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
Salt and pepper
Rosemary

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a small bowl mix mustard, syrup and vinegar. 

Place chicken breast into 9 by 13-inch baking dish. Season with salt and pepper. Pour mustard mixture over chicken, covering each piece.
