The Icon, in cooperation with the Bluffton Post Office has a special Santa mail box in the post office lobby.

Drop your Santa letter off in the box. All letters will be delivered with care from the post office to The Icon. Then watch the Icon to see it posted. Since we know Santa Claus reads the Icon, he'll see your letter.

For anyone not able to get to the post office, we'll accept e-mail letters. Send them to: [email protected].

Linda Sue Goecke, 64, died Dec. 8, 2014, at 3:25 p.m., Lima Memorial Health System. 

She was born March 29, 1950, in Bluffton to the late Clarence and Norma (Bushong) Burkholder. On June 5, 1976 she married Dale Goecke who survives.

She attended Bluffton High School. She was a secretary at McBrowns/DNC Hydraulics, Rawson.  

Lisa Wenger had two reasons to attend this year's Bluffton Middle School spelling bee, held earlier this week.

Among the 15 competitors were her grandson, Jonah Blackburn, son of Kelli (Lisa' daughter) and Jake Blackburn. 

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be hosting a free community meal on Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. The meal this month is provided by Hilty Home of Pandora. The menu will be BBQ ribs, parsley red potatoes, vegetable, roll, strawberry shortcake, and beverage.
