The autumnal equinox has passed and the shift has begun. As it went, the month of September looked a lot like summer-into-fall would look. Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer, provided the Icon the following information on September's weather:
The highest daytime temperature was a scorching 97 degrees on Tuesday, September 10. September 10 was also the day of the highest night time temperature of 74 degrees.
Allen County WIC, as part of the Ohio WIC program is operating “business as usual.” Ohio WIC has sufficient funds to operate through the end of October 2013. Ohio WIC is operating as business as usual at this time.
“People can continue using their Ohio WIC coupons and should keep their WIC clinic appointments,” says Barb Deepe, Allen County WIC Project Director.

Bluffton High School celebrates its 2013 homecoming this weekend. One queen and one king will be named in a pre-game ceremony on Harmon Field on Friday.

Olivia Hunt is daughter of Stan Hunt and Cindy Wagner, and stepfather, John Wagner, 10540 Shifferly Road, Bluffton. She is a student helper in the middle school cafeteria, plays varsity volleyball, basketball and softball. She works at Bob Evans and hopes to major in pharmacy next year in college.
Scott Basinger, Pandora attorney, has purchased the Samuel W. Diller Co., LPA, according to Diller, owner of the law firm that started in Bluffton in 1971.

Basinger, a Pandora native, has owned the Basinger Law Office, Pandora, since 2010. The new owner said that the Bluffton law office’s name will remain unchanged. Basinger’s practice focuses on real estate, estate planning, business law and personal injuries.
