BFR Sports and Fitness invites Icon viewers to participate in its Saturday, Aug. 31, Labor Day Weekend 5K or Walk, which featuring a Pump and Run.

• The 5K run/walk (including pump and runners) starts 9:15 a.m.
• The fun run/walk starts at 10 a.m.
• Race day check for the 5K pump and run starts at 7:45 a.m.
• Race day check in for the 5K run and walk sis from 8:30 to 9 a.m.
• Race day check in for fun run starts at 8:30 a.m.
The Bluffton Public Library invites Icon viewers to join the library's monthly informal book discussion. These take place the first Wednesday of the month in the library's Board Room from 12-1:30 p.m. Registration is required due to space limitations. The August book discussion is on "Olive Kitteridge," by Elizabeth Strout. Contact the library for details.
Mustard Seed Café is back from vacation Wednesday,July 10, with regular hours 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. daily (closed Tuesdays).
As a welcome back, the café is offering its specialty Fruit Spritzers for $1 through Sunday. These drinks are made on site from a variety of fresh fruits. Also available on the special $1 offer is the Italian Soda which is the fruit spritzer with heavy cream added.
Marcia J. Forbes, 75, died July 9, 2013, at her residence in Bluffton. She was born March 4, 1936, in Ashley, Ind., to the late Russell and Kathren (Bartels) Wiler. On Aug. 10, 1957, she married Arthur "A.J." Forbes and he died June 4, 2008.
Mrs. Forbes had been a bookkeeper for Lincoln Life and Klink Trucking. She was a member of the Ashley-Hudson Church of the Nazarene. She was a 1956 graduate of Ashley High School.
