The Bluffton Senior Center has a tour bus going to the Smokey Mountains for five days, four nights departing on May 13, according to Bob Painter.
The trip includes five spectacular shows, four deluxe breakfasts, four full-course dinner shows, including the Hatfields & McCoys, The Smith Family, The Dixie Stampede and the Comedy Barn. Visit the Titanic Museum, Dollywood, The Smokey Mountain Opry and a two- hour guided bus tour of the Smokies.
St. John's United Church of Christ will hold a beef and noodle dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 26, at the church, 223 W. College Ave., Bluffton.
The dinner includes homegrown beef, noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, roll, homemade pie and beverages.
The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for college students, $4 for elementary students and is free to all pre-kindergarten youth.
A soup lunch benefit for Don and Brenda Ernst's ministry in Alaska is planned this month by the Pleasant View United Methodit Church. The couple is addiing an addition to their church in Alaska.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at the church, 300 Township Road 37, Bluffton.
The menu includes soup, bread, dessert and beverages. The cost of the meal is a donation.
