If you didn't win last year's Bluffton Lions Club Foundation Corvette raffle, it's a new year and a new raffle. This year's car to be raffled, a 1995 Torch Red Corvette, was introduced during the March Senior Citizens-Lions pancake and sausage breakfast. Tickets are available from Lions Club members. The car will be on exhibit with several opportunities to purchase tickets in Bluffton this spring and summer. The raffle drawing is held later this year.

Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) of Bluffton launched a nine-month renovation project at the Mennonite Memorial Home campus main building on April 1.

“The $1 million project will create a state-of-the-art Rehabilitation and Wellness Center focusing on patients with short-term needs,” said Laura Voth, MHCO chief operating officer. 



M&W Construction, Lima, is the project’s general contractor. Don Burris of Bluffton, is the project manager and Nick Mathewson also of Bluffton, is the project superintendent. 

The staff of the Bluffton Public Library provided the Icon with the following information on their spring and summer programming:

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) and Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) have joined hands in a collaborative partnership.

This partnership allows pediatric and neonatal patients at Blanchard Valley Hospital to receive the expertise and resources offered by NCH in Findlay, Ohio.

The Bluffton University baseball team split a non-conference doubleheader with Oberlin College on a cold and windy afternoon in Bluffton. After control issues caused Bluffton to fall in game one, 18-8, the Beavers rallied with three runs in the bottom of the seventh to take game two by a score of 3-2.
