Can you believe it: 9,132 hours of volunteer time donated to Bluffton Hospital in 2013.
The Bluffton Hospital Auxiliary held its annual volunteer recognition banquet April 28 at The Centre of Bluffton. More than 50 volunteers were recognized for their hours of service to the hospital.
During the event, the Auxiliary presented Bluffton Hospital with an $18,000 check. The funds were raised throughout 2013 through gift shop sales, vending machine sales, the annual Colorama bowling fundraiser and other fundraisers.
The last Wednesday afternoon of the month is becoming a popular time to shop in Bluffton. It is the monthly Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce's cash mob time.
Town and Country Flowers, 121 S. Main St., Bluffton, is the April Bluffton cash mob host business.
During cash mob hours of 3:30 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, everything in Town and Country Flowers is 40 percent off, according to Connie Kruse of the flower shop.
The National Day of Prayer will be observed at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1 at Ebenezer Mennonite Church in the Crossroads Ministry Center, 8905 Columbus Grove Rd., Bluffton.
Students from Krysti’s Music Studio will be participating in a duet recital at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3. The recital will be held at Rockport United Methodist Church, 5505 Rockport Road, Columbus Grove.
