A group of Bluffton University students found out last month that they’re about as good at fixing old computers as they are at raising money for new ones.

The eight students left May 7 for a three-week cross-cultural experience in Botswana, where they were delivering three new laptop computers and related equipment to provide Internet access to Pitseng, their host village.

 

Have you ever thought a book could look so appetizing that you would want to dig in and taste it?  Two libraries are partnering to tempt you!  Bluffton Public Library and Bluffton University Musselman Library will be hosting an Edible Books contest on July 25 to promote reading and creativity for all ages. 

This delicious, free contest is being held as part of the public library’s “Dig Into READING” finale and is open to library patrons, staff, faculty, students, business owners and the general community.

BFR Offers Adventure Camps and Princess Day

The Ohio High School Athletic Association Board of Directors met Thursday morning in Columbus for its regularly scheduled June meeting, which marks the final board meeting of the 2012-13 school year. The following are highlights from the meeting. The complete set of meeting minutes will be posted later at OHSAA.org.

It's another ménage à trois at the Shannon Theatre with three great shows playing from Friday, June 14 through Thursday, June 20.

Star Trek (PG-13) is showing every evening at 7 p.m.

Gibsonburg is showing both Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and at 4 p.m.

Hangover III (R) is showing nightly at 9:30 p.m.

Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn flavor of the month for June is Birthday Cake.
