Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) has launched a new program series titled "Ask the Expert," according to Daren Lee of MHCO.
The program provides adults 55 and over in the greater Bluffton area an opportunity to speak directly to an MHCO nurse and social worker present at each session.
It is also an opportunity for persons of any age looking for counsel on how to help or get assistance for their aging parent, relative or friend. The staff present will offer guidance, counsel and referral for a broad set of topics.
The Bluffton High School class of 1971 will hold its 41 year class reunion on Saturday, June 9, at the Bluffton town hall, 3rd floor. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. with a meal following at 6 p.m. The cost of the meal is $14.00 per person. For reservations or questions, email to, [email protected].
A discussion of Conor Grennan's book "Little Princes" will take place in the family room of Maple Crest Senior Living Village on Monday, April 23, at 3 p.m. Maple Crest Senior Living Village is located at 700 Maple Crest Ct., Bluffton.
Copies of the book may be requested at Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St., Bluffton.
Bluffton University hurler Kelly Barnes (Toledo, Ohio/Toledo Christian) tossed a complete game in Bluffton's 2-1 victory over Manchester Sunday and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 25, 2012. It marks the second time in his career that Barnes has earned Player of the Week honors, the first coming in May of 2010.
Several area fire departments are on the scene of a house fire at 10100 Lincoln Highway near Pevee Road. Departments responding include Bluffton, Beaverdam-Richland Township, Ada-Liberty Township and Lafayette-Jackson. EMS squads from those communities also responded. Click for more photos.
