AUGUST 14 MEDIA RELEASE__Citizens Wealth Management Group (CWMG), 102 S. Main St., is raising awareness this month about the importance of keeping beneficiary designations up to date. It's already back-to-school season! Breakfast plays a crucial role in the day. However, finding a nutritious breakfast that keeps children satisfied can be challenging. The optimal choice includes a healthy carbohydrate paired with protein or healthy fats to help them stay full until lunchtime.

Barbara R. Fett, 79, passed away August 14, 2025 at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Barb was born January 7, 1946 in Allen County, Ohio to the late Francis and Madlyn (Isham) Marquart. She married Edwin Fett and they were divorced.

Nelson Koogler, 71, passed away August 13, 2025, at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center.

Nelson was born April 4, 1954 in Lima, Ohio, to James and Margaret (Hefner) Koogler who preceded him in death. On April 10, 1976 he married Sharon (Spallinger) Koogler who survives.

Doty’s Auto Repair on Jefferson St. in Bluffton is wrapping up business on August 29 after over 40 years of providing repair and maintenance. Mike Doty, who grew up in the business and took over from his dad in 2019, is closing the shop to start a new career. He has a “heart-felt thank you for … a tight knit community” and the “word of mouth that kept them in business.” An injury is preventing Mike from continuing in the same role. He has a new job at Youth for Christ.
