HAWAII CRUISE AND LAND TOUR March 6-17, 2025
We will have a pre-trip meeting on January 16 at 2 p.m. Trip includes a seven-night cruise on Pride of America, Norwegian Cruise ship and four nights on land. EMS Chief Jan Basinger provided the following December 2024 EMS Stats: 34 Medical Calls, 30 patients transported, 6 Hospital to Hospital transports, 5 Motor Vehicle Accidents, 8 Fire Calls, 2 Mutual Aid Calls. 55 total calls in December. He also noted that 2024 was a record year with 822 calls for service and 511 patients transported in 2024.
Philip Walter Compton, age 82, of Bluffton, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, surrounded by his family.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife has collected and submitted samples from multiple dead wild birds to test for the presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in Ohio. While awaiting test results from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Veterinary Services Laboratory, the Division of Wildlife is considering reports of dead birds in Auglaize, Erie, Huron, Lucas, Mercer, Montgomery, Richland, Sandusky, and Warren counties as presumed positive for HPAI.

Officers responded to the 100 block of East Jefferson Street for a civil issue.
Officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Garmatter Street in regards to an underage consumption by a juvenile complaint.
December 4
Officers responded to an apartment complex on County Line Road in reference to a mentally ill individual. The individual was taken to St. Rita’s Medical Center to be evaluated.
Officers responded to the university in response to a tree that had fallen on a student’s parked vehicle.
December 6
Officers responded to the hospital ER in reference to an individual who was injured by a dog that was running at large. Contact was made with the Allen County Dog Warden’s office to investigate the incident further.
