At the May 9 Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce meeting I talked with someone who regretted not tuning into the Icon more often. Friend, this list is for you! These are the April 2025 articles that I find have special and lasting local interest.

The Bluffton Farmers Market, a program of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, is back. Dozens of vendors and three live musicians are here Saturday, May 10 until noon.

The market is located at 102 S. Main St. between the post office and Citizens National Bank.

Hours are 8:00 a.m. to noon every Saturday through October.

Saturday, May 10 is Stacks and Crafts day in Bluffton. The Bluffton Lions Club fundraiser spans the Middle School cafetorium (pancakes, sausage and coffee) and High School gym and Franklin St. (crafts and food vendors).

Have a Bluffton High School Senior in your life? Take note of the following events up to and including graduation for 2025.

Monday 5/12 - Senior Paint the Street on College Ave., 6 - 8:00 p.m.

Thursday 5/15 - Senior Parade on Main St. from Bluffton Dari Freeze to Bluffton Public Library, 7:30 a.m.

Thursday 5/22 - Baccalaureate Service - College Ave outside the high school - 7-8:00 p.m.

Saturday 5/24 - Commencement Ceremonies, 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.)

The 2025 Bluffton Sportsmen’s Club Trout Derby may not have had good weather for sunbathing, but it was an excellent day for fishing. After rain in the a.m. on Sunday, May 4, the 2:00-4:00 p.m. Derby window was cloudy and cool.
