Mildred Zoe Criblez, 97, died Dec. 31, 2017, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. Mildred was born June 8, 1920, in Cairo, Ohio to William and Anna (Candler) Parker who preceded her in death. On Feb. 15, 1942, she married Maurice "Dock" Criblez who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2011.

The library introduces its first Winter Book Games reading program for children, teens, and adults!

Pick up a Winter Book Games bingo card at the library or download and print it from BPL's website, and then read five or more books during the months of January through March to receive a bingo and a completion prize. At this time, you may also enter a drawing to win a larger prize!

This  Bluffton postcard postmarked Dec. 22, 1905, by an unknown photographer shows a person riding in a hot air balloon over Bluffton. Certainly this was the Wilbur Wright of Bluffton. Certainly an interesting story lost in history.

The Thursday, Jan. 4, community meal planned at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center is cancelled. Tonya Meyer, center director, said the cancellation is due to the low tempeatures anticipated to continue this week. The dinner will not be rescheduled.
