$500 in chamber gift certificates go to winners

Four Bluffton families can claim the best holiday lighting decorations in 2017.

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce announced the following winners in this year's residential lighting competition,

• First place and a prize of $200 goes to Paul and Vicki Gesler of 347 Sycamore Court.

• Second place and a prize of $150 goes to Dave and Jenny Roby, 431 Cherry Street.

• Third place and a prize of $75 goes to Mark and Debbie Dulle of 423 Ethan Circle.

Bluffton Child Development Center, 325 County Line Road, received $3,375 in donations recently, according to Francine Donathan, director.

Donations are from:
Grob Systems Inc. $2,000
St. John’s United Church of Christ $500
Family Eye Care Clinic of Bluffton $125
George Stultz $250
Anonymous donor $500.

"The donations will help buy new equipment and supplies for the classrooms," said Donathan. "We appreciate this donations from community organizations."
 
 

Ryan Golden, a senior from Findlay, is Bluffton University’s sixth recipient of a full scholarship to Bowling Green State University’s master of accountancy program.

At Riley Creek Baptist Church

 Riley Creek Baptist Church, 4950 Township Road 27, Bluffton, invites the public to its Christmas program, “The Advent of Emmanuel,” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17. 

The program will consist of a play telling the story of “Lydie” as she comes to understand the true meaning of Christmas, along with a number of musical selections and parts for children of the congregation.  Everyone is welcome.  For more information call 419-326-6361.
