Area residents know that Bluffton Hospital has a big heart as it cares for its patients.
A national accreditation commission reaffirmed that fact recently.
Earlier this year the hospital received “seal of approval” for the third time affirming its echocardiography laboratory provides a high level of patient care and quality testing when diagnosing heart disease.
The hospital’s cardiopulmonary department earned echocardiography reaccreditation from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.
Here's a scene you're looking at for the first-time ever. It's the corner of Vine and Lawn looking south toward the elementary school. Two properties were purchased by the school board this summer. The structures were razed and grass was recently planted.
Halloweeners may stop at Maple Crest, just off Augsburger Road, and Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., on Thursday, Oct. 26. Treats are given out in the lobbies from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The 26th is Bluffton's trick-or-treat night.
Tickets are now available for the Bluffton Lions Foundation “Dare to Dream” wine tasting and auction set for Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 6 p.m. at Sycamore Lake Winery, rural Columbus Grove
The event is a fundraiser supporting the Bluffton Bike pathway project. Tickets are $25 each and are available only in advance from Lion members or by calling 419-788-0729, according to Colleen Lazar, Lions president.
