"Operation Arctic" takes place at English Lutheran July 16-20

All youth who are age 4 by July 1 through 5th grade are invited to register for Operation Arctic this year's theme for the Bluffton Community Vacation Bible School.

This year the community VBS will be held at English Lutheran Church, 111 Grove St., from Sunday, July 16, through Thursday, July 20. VBS is held  from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening.  There is no cost for VBS.  

The Bluffton Icon wishes its viewers a happy July 4th. Here's a patrotic post card from 1917 mailed to Werner Althaus, Bluffton native, living in Toledo at the time. The Icon will take the holiday off and we'll be back with more Bluffton news on July 5.

Bluffton residents have a chance to get an update on the State Route 103 corridor safety study this week. A public meeting is at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 6, in the town hall. (The Icon earlier incorrectly listed the meeting as taking place on Wedneday)

This is a follow-up meeting from one held in February. At that time one suggested fix resulting for the corridor totaled $10.4 million. Here's a review of the February study session report
