Library invites you to create your art masterpiece

Art is where you find it - or where you make it.

And, the Bluffton Public Library invites you to make "and take" your own art anytime on Friday, March 31. It's the final opportunity in the "Make and Take Art" option during the month.

Here's how it works:
The library has stations set up throughout the main floor for budding artists to create a piece of art. The stations are available all day and are open to patrons of all ages.

When you complete your work, you may take it home a frame it.

High school gym bleacher project at mid-stage

It's standing-room only in the Bluffton High School gym. But that won't last long.

This winter, the Bluffton school board voted to replace the original bleachers in the high school gymnasium.

The board accepted a contract totaling $199,500 for materials and installation of the bleachers. The contract is with Hussey Seating Co., and Farnham Equipment Co.

The bleachers removed earlier this month were nearly 30 years old and in need of repair.

It's lunchtime on Wednesday. That means Bluffton High School seniors can go across the street and have a spaghetti  lunch at Campus Life. Jadyn Barhorst (left) and Emily Metzger took advantage of the opportunity this week.
