Four university students take off their masks

Bluffton University mascots J. Denny Beaver and Jenny Beaver were very busy this year as all of the students inside the suits are involved in multiple student clubs and athletic teams on campus.
 
The students’ identities were revealed at halftime of the men’s basketball game on Jan. 28, during a ceremony that traditionally marks the only time that college mascots remove their costume heads in public.
 
Introduced as this year’s J. Dennys were:

First one is Wednesday in Bluffton

Citizens Wealth Management Group (CWMG) will host a series of free seminars in February that focus on its 2017 economic outlook. CWMG is associated with Citizens National Bank.

Deborah Boisselle, vice president investments, is the featured speaker. The first seminar is at noon, Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Citizens National Bank, 102 S. Main St., Bluffton.

Two other seminars are:

• Thursday, Feb. 9, noon, Country Inn and Suites, 903 Interstate Dr., Findlay

Doris Dorothea Conrad, 91, died Jan. 26, 2017, at 4:50 p.m. at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.  Doris was born Oct. 16, 1925 in New Bremen to the late Ralph and Lillian (Lent) Dunifon.  On Dec. 4, 1962, she married Herbert Conrad who preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 2008.

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive Thursday, Feb. 9 from 1-6 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, 101 S. Jackson St., Bluffton. Donors should enter the church via the double doors on Jackson Street directly across from Bluffton Elementary/Middle School. The church is handicap-accessible.

That's right. Opening sooner than you think. Watch for an "open" sign later this week for Campito Lindo. Frantz Wright, building owner, says he has new owners for the previous Don Jose Mexican Restaurant on North Main Street.
