Elisha Birkey met Santa Claus for the first time ever on Monday night at the Bluffton Public Llibrary. He's held by his dad, Phil, while mom, Esther, talks him in to giving a Christmas grin.

For northwestern Ohio snow is in the forecast tonight and mixed with or changing to sleet and freezing rain. Anticipated 1 to 3 inches of snow with minor ice. Periods of snow tonight will change to a wintry mix overnight.
Low temperature anticipated at 20 degrees, with winds from the south southeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.

The Bluffton Community Assistance Program's food pantry in St. John's United Church of Christ is very busy this month.
Bluffton First Mennonite Church, 101 S. Jackson St., invites you to attend a time of Christmas carol singing at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 in the sanctuary. Children and youth of the church will be involved in selecting and leading this time of Christmas celebration.
First Mennonite also invites the community to attend their Christmas Eve service at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24. We will celebrate the light of God’s heart shining in the story and songs of Christmas.
