The Village of Bluffton recently noted that old buildings had been razed at the water treatment site on Spring St. Here is one rather elegant building now gone, and a technological improvement that now stands across the street.

As a weather observer, Verhoff follows in the footsteps of his father-in-law Ray Burkholder, who in turn received the assigment from John Maidlaw, an observer in Ottawa.
Verhoff has been reporting weather conditions from Pandora since about 2007.

The three-point bombing Bluffton High School girls basketball team built an 11-point halftime lead and held on to upset state-ranked Crestview 61-51 in a home Northwest Conference girls basketball battle Thursday night.
Ranked 10th in the state, the Knight girls trailed the hosts 20-16 after a high-scoring first period. Senior guard Sami Scoles poured in 12 points on four triples in the opening stanza to shoot Bluffton into the lead.
Mary Joan Tyson Crist, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 3:33 p.m. at the Bowling Green Bridge Hospice.
Mary Joan Tyson Crist was born on January 30, 1925, in Lima, OH. She was welcomed with love into the home of her parents, J.O. Tyson, and Eva Shultz Tyson of Ada, OH. They had her baptized when she was a baby in the Ada Methodist Church. They preceded her in death. On November 27, 1942, Joan was married to Jack F. Crist at the home of Rev. Davis in Van Wert, Ohio. After 55 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on January 8, 1998.
