Winning its last two Fall 2021 games propelled the Bluffton University football team to fifth place among eight teams in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The team has ten All-HCAC honorees with three players on the first team, one on the second team and six honorable mentions.

Bath Township Fire Department responded to a report of a mobile home on fire at 2145 N. Dixie Hwy. Lot #30, Lima, Ohio, in Bath Township at 11:12 A.M. on November 18.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the mobile home fully involved with the next-door mobile home also involved.

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce 2021 residential lighting contest is back with a twist: double the bragging rights and prizes. $1400 in Bluffton Bucks prizes will be awarded. Two geographic divisions have been created with Main Street dividing the village into two halves. The judging date will be announced the week of November 29. Email [email protected] to enter.

Waves in the ocean are formed with the interaction of the wind, water, and land. The gravitational pull of the moon on the Earth can influence tides that can impact the formation of waves. The wind transfers energy to the water. The stronger the wind, the more energy is generated to form waves. 

On Tuesday, November 16, the Bluffton Lions Club dedicated a bench overlooking Cob Lake in memory of Taylor Steele of Bluffton. The ceremony was led by Lions President Patty Navin and included comments by Steele’s mother Tracy.
