Three events are planned this spring at the Ohio Northern University Observatory, according to Dr. Jason Pinkney, of the Department of Physics and Astronomy. They follow:
A concert featuring Bluffton University’s Camerata Singers and a Masterworks performance by University Chorale and the Bluffton Choral Society will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 31, in Yoder Recital Hall.
With Camerata performing first, the concert will include selections ranging from “Requiem Aeternam,” a traditional Latin chant to “Ave Verum Corpus” by Mozart to “Homeward Bound,” words and music by Marta Keen.

The Bluffton University track team made the trek to Indiana Wesleyan University to compete in the Polar Bear Invitational on Sat, March 23 and saw many great performances!
Clarence Kenneth Basinger, 94, died March 25, 2019, at his residence. Services will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, April 1, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 – 5 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Pablo Picasso once wrote “Every child is an artist.” With that thought in mind, this week is your final chance to view some amazing art by young artists from Bluffton and surrounding communities.
“Make Your Mark” student art showcase 2019 is currently on exhibit at the Bluffton Public Library. The exhibit closes at the end of the month.
Artists range in age from early elementary to seniors in high school. Media mainly focuses on pencil, colored pencil, acrylic, photography, fiber and sculpture.
