New heated tobacco devices are not a safe alternative to smoking traditional cigarettes or using electronic cigarettes, according to a new study.
This study directly compared the lung cell damage caused by e-cigarette and cigarette use to this new type of device, which heats solid tobacco to create a nicotine vapor that the user inhales. The conclusion? The heated tobacco vapor from these new devices was highly toxic to healthy lung cells — just like cigarette smoke.
Prime Timers will feature a St. Patrick’s Day theme at its luncheon on Tuesday, March 5. The festivities begin at noon at St. John Mennonite Church, Pandora.

(TROY) - Deandre Nassar improved to 42-0 on the season and advanced to the semifinals of the 182 weight class in Friday's action at the OHSAA District Meet. The top four wrestlers in each class advance to the State Meet next weekend.
Deandre earned a 15-4 major decision over Versailles Derek Cavin to open the District Meet. Nassar followed that up with a late pin of Clermont's Luke Rayburn, a match which Nassar led 21-7 at the time.

(MILLER CITY) – A rough and tumble affair ended with a huge fourth quarter for Bluffton as they erupted for 29 points in the final 8 minutes to defeat Fairview 58-49 in the OHSAA Sectional Final. Four Pirates scored in double figures led by Luke Denecker’s 17 points. Mason Soper and Jared Piercefield each scored 12 and Baylor Garmatter 11.
