Bluffton police issued potential flood warning on Wednesday at 8:45 p.m.

The warning, posted on Nixle states: Riley Creek is out of its banks near College Avenue. Those who live in flood prone areas in the village should monitor the water levels and take precautionary measures as needed.

“We are fortunate to receive tremendous monetary donations from our community each year,” said Ed Yeager. “Our donors are individuals, groups, organizations and special fund-raisers throughout the community.”

Bluffton Community Assistance Program’s board of directors approved a 2019 budget totaling $25,600 at its Jan. 21 annual meeting, according to Ed Yeager, board president.

Income is anticipated at $20,000 from public donations. Other income is from the program’s bank account.

Interstate 75 northbound between Bentley Road and state Route 103 (Jefferson Street) in the Village of Bluffton will be restricted to one lane through the work zone on Thursday, Jan. 24, for the repair of cable rail barrier. Work is being performed by the ODOT roadway services department.
