BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School girls softball team lost a 2-1 pitcher’s duel to visiting non-conference foe Continental on Friday evening, May 2.

The visiting Pirates scored a run in the first inning to take an early lead. Bluffton tied it with a run in the bottom of the fourth. Continental broke the tie by pushing across the winning run in the sixth.

The Pirate girls dropped to 2-10 overall with the tight loss. Continental improved to 10-6 after the win.

The Bluffton Board of Education held their monthly meeting on April 28 at 5:00 p.m. Items on the agenda included establishing a public hearing for the retire-rehire request by High School Principal Mike Minnig and the introduction of two new high school hires.

The long-term use of antidepressants is a critical aspect of managing major depressive disorder (MDD) to prevent relapse and recurrence. Clinical guidelines, such as those from the American Psychiatric Association, recommend maintenance therapy with antidepressants for at least six months after achieving remission to prevent relapse. For patients with a high risk of recurrence, such as those with multiple past episodes or severe symptoms, maintenance treatment may be extended to two years or more.
