BHS announces 2013 homecoming and parents' night dates

Bluffton High School announced its 2013 homecoming game and parents' night, according to Alex Hanna, BHS athletic director.

Homecoming is Friday, Oct. 4, versus Allen East

Parents' night is Friday, Aug. 30, at approximately 6:55 p.m. with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. against Cory-Rawson.

Bluffton baseball, softball aim to ‘Strike Out Cancer’ April 16

 

Bluffton University’s baseball and softball teams will do their part to help “Strike Out Cancer” at their home games on Tuesday, April 16.

The softball team will host Manchester in a doubleheader beginning at 3:30 p.m., while the first pitch of the baseball game against Defiance will be at 4:15 p.m. at Memorial Field. Special pink shirts will be sold as part of the American Cancer Society fundraiser, and cookout food will be available.

University pops concert April 12 in Founders

Four Bluffton University musical ensembles will come together Friday, April 12, to present the annual Pops Concert at 7:30 p.m. in Founders Hall. The concert is free and open to the public; donations will be accepted for program costs, with any excess funds going toward music scholarships.

The evening will begin with jazz from the university’s Jazz Ensemble, directed by adjunct instructor Paul Baransy. The ensemble will also perform on two numbers with the University Chorale, conducted by Dr. Jon C. Peterson, an assistant professor of music.

Test drive a Bobcat zero-turn mower on Saturday

Gary Augsbuger, of Gary's Repair, 2667 Road P, Pandora, invites you to test drive a zero-turn Bobcat mower on Saturday. It's Bobcat Day at Gary's Repair, located between Bluffton and Pandora.

There are also special discounts on floor models during the day, in which the business is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Relay for Life extends invite to entertainers

Bluffton's Relay for Life is extending an invitation to area entertainers. 

"We are sking for area people interested in helping with entertainment such as music, dance ect. We would like to have area people involved," according to Lynda Best.
