May 20 deadline to register a team for Friends of Library golf scramble
The Friends of the Library are looking for area golfers June 1.
The Birdies for Bookworms Golf Outing sponsored by the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library is Saturday, June 1, with registration and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m..
The cost is $50 per golfer or $200 per team. The format of the outing is a 4-person scramble. The registration fee includes the round of golf, the golf cart and a chicken dinner.
There will be a skins game of $20 per team. All skins money will be returned to the teams winning skins. Golfers can also purchase a mulligan, the opportunity to retake a shot, or a do over. Mulligans are $5 per person.
Registration forms are available in the Bluffton Public Library or on the library website, www.blufftonpubliclibrary.org. Registration forms can be returned along with the check made out to Friends of the Bluffton Public Library, to the library or mailed to the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St., Bluffton, OH 45817 c/o Tracy Steel.
The registration deadline is May 20, but the Friends will accept forms and payment for a few days after if the Friends know a team plans to participate.
Prizes will be awarded to winning teams. There will also be proximity contests on the course.
All proceeds from the outing will go to support the library and its programs.
