Council get ready for spring on Monday - sidewalks and lots more
Bluffton council will hear recommendations from its street, alleys, lights and sidewalk committee on Monday.
Those committees met on Feb. 26 and the following information from that meeting is in the Monday council packet at the bottom of this story.
Here’s a summary as it affects sidewalks:
Inspection reports were filled out on 276 sidewalks on the west side of town. That compares to 202 reports on the east side.
Sidewalk deadlines follow: Reminder letters will go out for each side of town to residents who have not responded to receiving their first sidewalk letter. Letters going to residents of the east side of town will be mailed in March. The west side letters mailed in early July.
The sidewalk deadlines are July 15, 2015, for east side and Oct. 1 for west side of the village.
