Bluffton police seek assistance identifying "suspicious male"
Bluffton police seek public assistance in identifying an individual who has been seen over the course of several days on various parts of the Bluffton University campus, according to Rick Skilliter, police chief.
According to a report from the police: Officials say the male has been observed in restricted areas.
On Thursday, Oct. 22, Bluffton police officers attempted to stop the man in an attempt to identify him, but he fled on foot, and drove off in a dark-colored four-door vehicle, leaving the area before police could stop him.
According to Skilliter, "A student took a photo of the man before police arrived. The man is described as a black male, in his 30s to 40s, bald, slender build, with a gap between his front teeth.
The vehicle he is a dark colored, possibly Acura crossover with an out-of-state rear license plate. Police ask anyone with information to call 419-358-2961 to pass along the information.
