Greg Denecker offers ODE "Driving Education Excellence" draft overview
Driving Education Excellence: Securing the Future for All Ohio Students.
That’s the title of a program being implemented this winter by the Ohio Department of Education.
Greg Denecker, Bluffton school superintendent, provided details in the winter school newsletter sent to district residents last week.
His report is in the “news from the superintendent” section, attached at the bottom of this story.
Highlights include:
• Continuing to update Ohio’s Learning Standards
• Implementing the Third Grade Reading Guarantee
• Revising the state’s approach to testing
• Enacting the A-F School Report Card
• Strengthening dropout prevention
• Expanding student access to career and tech education
• Increasing student access to high-quality STEM education
