Allen County Sheriff's Office warns of phone scam
We have received multiple complaints of Allen County residents receiving phone calls from an individual claiming to be from our office. The caller claims to have a warrant for the person who answers the phone, and then asks for private information and money for fines.
This is a scam! This person is not an employee of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, and this IS NOT the way that the Allen County Sheriff’s Office handles warrants. If you receive one of these calls please do not give out your personal information and please do not give out your money.
If you have a concern regarding a warrant or other matter please call our office directly at 419-227-3535 and allow us to transfer your call to the appropriate person.
