Rev. Joanna Harader, pastor, Peace Mennonite Church, from Lawrence, Kansas, will present the Forum “Expecting Emmanuel: Entering Advent with the Women of Jesus’ Genealogy,” at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29 in Yoder Recital Hall.
The author of a new Advent devotional book shows how the Bible can provide a space for authentic conversations through a discussion of four women from the Hebrew scriptures in Jesus’ genealogy.
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, the Bluffton Cultural Affairs committee will be assisted by volunteers in setting up the Ream Folk Art display at Bluffton Presbyterian Church. False reports of active shooters were received in multiple Ohio schools on Wednesday, November 16, including schools in Allen and Hancock counties.
The Icon received a report from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department detailing that “at approximately 9:40 a.m. the Allen County Sheriff’s Office received a call stating there was an active shooter at Lima Temple Christian School with multiple injuries. At 9:43 a.m. law enforcement was on scene and began assessing the situation.”

With identity thefts growing by the day, it’s important to monitor your credit report. On Credit Check Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, five local financial institutions will coordinate with Crime Victim Services to offer credit report checks in 18 locations.
