The host Bluffton boys soccer team shut out backyard rival Allen East 5-0 in a Northwest Conference match Monday night at Steinmetz Field.
Bluffton improved to 7-2-1 and 2-0 in the NWC with the whitewash victory. The Mustangs fell to 1-6-1 and 0-2-1 in league play after suffering the defeat.
Pirate Kaden Basil scored the first goal just 2:25 into the match off an assist by Jude Spallinger.

The Mount Cory and Pleasant View United Methodist churches will host a Fall Festival from 2-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 26. The even was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID.
The festival includes games for kids, Romick's Train, clowns, a craft and
bake sale by members of the churches, Hancock County Sheriff's Office K-9
demo, fire trucks and more.
