ADA - The Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts presents "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" on Sept. 15-18 at 7:30 p.m. with two matinee showings on Sep. 17-18 at 2 p.m.
Conceived by Rebecca Feldman, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" is a one-act musical comedy centering on a fictional spelling bee set in the geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School, where six quirky adolescents compete in a competition run by three equally quirky adults.

First Mennonite Church is sponsoring a Peace Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 10-11.
On Sept. 10, Saturday morning, a Peace Festival will be held in the parking lot of FMC with face-painting and other activities for children, live music, a mural to add to, informational displays, and international clothing to try on with your families for a photo, see books on display, all during the farmer's market from 9:30-12.
The Bluffton University Peace Club and Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center will be part of the Saturday morning event.
Watch out for bikers in Bluffton on Sunday, Sept. 11.
The Hancock Handlebars Club has Bluffton on its 2011 Hancock Horizontal Hundred biking event. According to Paul Craun of the club, over 700 bikers will participate. The event offers routes of 4 miles, 20 miles, 40 miles, 62 miles and 100 miles.
Bikers are expected to be in Bluffton anytime between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., with most arriving between noon and 1 p.m., according to Craun.
