September is a busy month for the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. The monthly dinner meeting is at 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 12. Phillip Murphy will perform for those attending.

Life memberships will be presented to the following members who recently reached their 90th birthday: Evelyn Sutter, Margaret Houshower, Ruby Mabry and Doris Clevenger.

The meal is catered by The Pandora Lifters. The meal includes baked steak, baked potatoes, peas with onions, Jello salad, rolls and pie.

Evelyn Reese is the MC and hostesses are Dortha Rodabaugh and friends.

Here's a story a little outside our viewership area, but it's an interesting one sent to us by our friends at Adman, Lima.

Rudolph Foods has announced the retirement of 51-year veteran Mike Reynolds. Hired in 1960, Reynolds has held a variety of positions with the Westminster-based food company, starting as a corn popper.

The new gym floor at Trinity Lutheran School, 105 Allen Street, Jenera, will be dedicated on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 9:30 a.m. prior to the first volleyball match which will begin at 10 a.m. with St. Stephen's, Adrian, Michigan. Everyone is welcome.

A Punt, Pass & Kick event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran School, 105 Allen Street, Jenera.

Punt, Pass & Kick is a competition sponsored by the NFL for boys and girls ages 6-15. Parents may register their child/children in advance by using the PPK website (nflppk.com) and searching for our event by ZIP code.

Other information is also available at the website. Participants must have a copy of his/her birth certificate at the event in order to participate.
