“More than half of the trash you generate can be recycled,” says Rumpke Waste & Recycling, Bluffton’s local waste and recycling provider.

Bluffton's Ethan Bogart was named Northwest Conference Track Athlete of the Year in recent voting by the league coaches.
Bogart won the 110 high hurdles (15.86) and 300 hurdles (39.96) at the NWC championship meet in Convoy last weekend. He also finished second in the NWC 200-meter dash.

To: Mayor Johnson, City Council Members, and Citizens of Bluffton, OH
I recently sent a letter to our mayor council members and also to the ICON, voicing concern about the thin blue line proposal. At this time I would like to continue expressing my concern. The past week began with Bluffton High School's Ethan Bogart named as Ohio's Northwest Conference track athlete of the year and ended with a good number of BHS athletes advancing to regional competition.
The Bluffton boys track and field team finished a strong second at the Div. III district meet on a warm Thursday, May 19, and Saturday, May 21, at Ada's War Memorial Stadium.
Columbus Grove won the boys team title with 148 points, while Bluffton came in second with 114.
Kalida captured the girls crown in a close battle with Van Buren. The Lady Pirates finished a solid sixth out of 18 teams.
Several Pirates posted top-four finishes to make it to the regional meet next week.
