The visiting Bluffton High School baseball team shut out non-conference rival Cory-Rawson 5-0 on a cold, Tuesday evening, April 26.

The Pirates improved to 3-9 after the win, while Cory fell to 1-6 with the defeat.

Bluffton visits Spencerville (1-11, 1-2 NWC) Thursday, then hosts Delphos Jefferson (4-9, 2-2 NWC) Friday in a makeup game.

Monday's rainout vs. Lincolnview (9-3, 4-0 NWC) will be made up at home May 11.

The visiting Bluffton High School varsity softball team shut out local non-league rival Cory-Rawson 15-0 on a chilly Tuesday evening, April 26.

The Pirate girls improved to 6-5 with the lopsided victory.

Winless C-R fell to 0-7 with the defeat.

Pirate hurler Hannah Davis gave up just two hits over seven innings to earn the shutout and her sixth win. She aided her own cause with a hit and two runs batted in.

Olivia Hobensack led the Pirate offense with a double, three singles and four runs batted in.

Street paving beginning April 26 will restrict some driving and parking in the village. Streets impacted are Richland Dr., Bentley to Shannon; Hillcrest Dr.; Crystal Pl.; Polo Dr.; Bentley Rd., Elm to corporation limit (pictured here) and N. Spring St., Riley to Snider.

Bluffton High School senior and art student Amber Boop had her work "Sweet World" selected by a panel of judges to be part of the 52nd annual Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibition. The exhibition opened at the James A. Rhodes State Office Tower, across from the State Capitol, on April 24 and closes near the end of May.

On Sunday, April 24 the region had an air conditioning day less than one week following the April 18 snowfall of 1.3 inches.
