On Wed., Sept. 2, at Noon and at 2:00 p.m., the groups will discuss The Cardinal by Alison Weir.
BPL UPDATES__Live reptiles will be center stage at the Bluffton Public Library wrap up event for the 2026 Summer Reading program.
The event will be held at Buckeye Park at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, and will feature live reptiles presented by the Johnny Appleseed Metro Park District.
Arrive at the park at 1:30 p.m. for a popsicle and prepare to meet the reptiles. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If the weather is bad, the event will move to the library.
BPL UPDATES_A program on the Newark Earthworks and historical indigenous architecture will be presented on Wednesday, July 22 @ 6:00 p.m. at the Bluffton Public Library.
The program will be presented by Sarah Hinkelman, Site Superintendent, Newark Earthworks and Flint Ridge. She will talk about historical architecture built by indigenous people over 2000 years ago. The structures are in what is now known as Newark, Ohio.
BPL UPDATES_The Galley Book Group - Mixed Titles will meet on Wed., July 15 at Noon at the Bluffton Public Library.
This discussion will be of an assortment of Galley books provided by the publishers, scheduled to be published between May and August 2026. Register for the discussion, read a book from the box as soon as you are able, return so others can read it, and repeat as desired until the discussion date. At the discussion, the group will briefly talk about each book read, rate the titles, and discuss whether it is book-discussion-worthy.
