Ever wonder what lies on the floor of the Buckeye?

Or, what's this about a Cigarette Creek in Bluffton? All part of a library Zoom talk on Thursday

Ever wonder what lies on the floor of the Buckeye?

How about this: Where did Bluffton residents swim a century ago?

And: How did Cigarette Creek get its name? Are you kidding, is there such a place in Bluffton? Where it is?

Now that I have your attention, please be aware that the above questions will be addressed in a Bluffton Public Library Zoom talk at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 9. Presented by Fred Steiner, you will learn some things you never knew about water-related subjects in Bluffton.

It's July and it looks like the library has some fun programming

“Imagine Your Story” continues through Aug. 15

The library is closed on July 3 and 4 in observance of Independence Day.

Bluffton Public Library’s Summer Program, “Imagine Your Story,” continues through July and ends Aug. 15.

During this time, the digital Summer Reading Challenge continues on the library’s Beanstack webpage (with paper forms available for those unable to access the digital version), and the library continues to offer events and services online to provide support, education, and entertainment. GROB to the library rescue

Donates plexiglass and aluminum unit providing protection around the main floor front desk

GROB Systems to the rescue.

Thanks for volunteer efforts of the local manufacturer, Bluffton Public Library will have a customized plexiglass and aluminum unit providing over 20 feet of protection around the library’s main floor front desk area when it eventually reopens to the public.

Here’s how it all came together:

The library contacted Brian Schroeder of GROB when it was determined that the structure of the front desk would require a frame to anchor plexiglass partitions.

Hey, let's see what showing at the library today
