Bluffton University will host an artist reception for Merrill Krabill, chair of the art department at Goshen College, from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 12, in the Grace Albrecht Gallery.

Krabill’s work, “A Visual Reflection on Fear and Connection,” will be on display to the public through Oct. 18. His current body of work uses the metaphor of death and resurrection to explore life's pain and loss. The hope the work holds out is that the interconnectedness of all life is our way to move from loss to redemption.

Naturalist Amy Norris will update the community about the Moyer Nature Center’s new designation as a monarch waystation at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Bluffton University Nature Preserve
