Meet the 2019 Bluffton University homecoming court
Seniors Tim Bender of Wellman, Iowa, and Leslie Beasley of Columbus, Ohio, were crowned Bluffton University’s Homecoming king and queen at halftime of the annual Homecoming football game on Oct. 12.
Other seniors on the Homecoming court were Andrew Sluss of Houston, Ohio; Von Thomas of Dayton, Ohio; Megan Hill of Arcadia, Ohio; and Alexis Cash of Gaines, Mich.
Junior attendants were Jules Frazier of Nova, Ohio, and Caleb Nesbit of Deatsville, Ala.,
Sophomore attendants were Evan Burden of Sidney, Ohio, and Veronika Stafa of Lezha, Albania.
Beasley is an intervention specialist major. She is the hall director Bren-Dell and Riley Court and has served as a Kit Guide and student ambassador.
Bender is a history and Bible and theology double major. He is in the honors program, serves as the assistant in the history department and is on the planning committee for Cabaret for a Cause.
Sluss is a social work major. He is active on Marbeck Center Board and works for the university event complex.
Hill is majoring in early childhood education and intervention specialist. She is a softball student-athlete, works on the university event complex, and is a member of Marbeck Center Board and Bluffton Education Organization.
Cash is a speech-language pathology and audiology major. She runs track and cross country, is a pastoral assistant, works in the Ministry Department and is the vice president of Brave Space.
Frazier is a psychology and social work double major. She is active with Marbeck Center Board and Student Athletic Advisory Committee, works for university event complex and is a member of the women’s soccer team.
Nesbit is a nursing major. He is on the football team, a resident assistant in Neufeld Hall and secretary of the nursing club.
Burden is a music education major. He is a member of Camerata Singers, University Chorale, concert band, pep band, International Connection and Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association. He also serves as a resident advisor, performs in the musicals and plays e-sports.
Stafa is majoring in biology. She works in the library, serves as a Becoming a Scholar mentor, is part of International Connection. She sings in Chapel and with Gospel Choir, and served as a Kit Guide over the summer.
