Flutist Renee Kindle will present her Bluffton University senior recital at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in Yoder Recital Hall. The recital is free and open to the public; a reception will follow in the lobby.
Kindle is a music major from Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Her program includes seven numbers including a duet with Brianna Keith, a junior from Grafton, Ohio, and an ensemble piece. Pianist
Ana Yoder Coulter will also provide accompaniment during the recital.
BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University softball team picked up its first sweep of the season as they defeated the Olivet College Comets, 10-8 and 3-2. The victories helped Bluffton improve to 12-10 while the Comets fell to 11-5.
The Grace Albrecht Gallery will host an exhibit by Gregg Luginbuhl, professor emeritus, titled “Making My Way.” The exhibit opens April 11 and runs through May 8. The gallery is located in Bluffton University’s Sauder Visual Arts Center.
The exhibit is a retrospective, featuring work by the artist over a period of 50 years. The artist will be present during a reception from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 7 in the Sauder Visual Arts Center.
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Bluffton University track and field squad traveled southward on Saturday the 26th to the plains of Cedarville University to compete in the Yellow Jacket Invitational. The day’s competition saw a number of quality Beaver performances but overall the meet belonged to the team’s throwers.
ANDERSON, Ind. - The Bluffton University baseball lost another tough battle to the Anderson University Ravens, 5-2, on Saturday, March 26. The loss was Bluffton’s fourth in a row and seventh in their last eight contests as they fell to 5-11 overall and 0-3 in HCAC action. The Ravens sweep of the series improves their mark to 6-9 and 3-0 in the conference.
