Rustic Decanter XIX with 7 Cups

Gregg Luginbuhl, professor and chair of art at Bluffton University, has two ceramic works in the Ohio Designer Craftsmen's "Best of 2011" juried exhibition, which opened May 1 at the Ohio Craft Museum, 1665 W. Fifth Ave., Columbus.

Luginbuhl's "Rustic Decanter XIX with 7 Cups" and "Rustic Decanter XX with 5 Cups" were selected for the exhibition by juror Paula Owen, president of the Southwest School of Art in San Antonio, Texas.

Bluffton University has announced its 2011 May Day court, which was elected by the student body and will be honored during the annual May Day celebration at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, on the Centennial Hall lawn. The rain location is Founders Hall.

The court includes King Kenny Miller and Queen Leah Roeschley, both seniors, along with senior escort Joel Wildermuth, senior attendant Mary Good and junior chairpersons Jenna Eshleman and Alex Woodring.

Sixteen first-year students at Bluffton University have been chosen to perform a century-old tradition-the Maypole dance-during Bluffton's annual May Day ceremony on Saturday, May 7.

The Bluffton University softball team hosted Franklin College on Saturday, April 30, in a doubleheader for their last regular season games of 2011.

The Bluffton University baseball team etched itself into the record books with its school-record seventh straight victory. The Beavers opened their three-game series at Hanover with a 12-8 victory over the Panthers on Friday, April 29, 2011. Bluffton evened its record at 17-17 overall and 9-10 in the Heartland Conference, while Hanover slipped to 13-19 and 8-10 in the HCAC.
