Fresh off its recent announcement of two franchise locations in the Toledo and Columbus areas, Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn Company announced that its fourth Ohio store will open in Findlay this fall.

Franchisees Jennifer and Jason Swartzlander, of Bluffton, will own and operate a store in the Interstate Plaza, just off of I-75 on Trenton Avenue in Findlay. They say their deep connections to the community, belief in the Shirley’s Gourmet Popcorn concept, and an ideal location made them confident in joining the Shirley’s family of franchisees.

The Markets

As winter weather finally lost its chokehold on the U.S. economy, investors grew increasingly comfortable with the Federal Reserve's slow-and-steady approach to determine when to raise short-term interest rates.

First National Bank celebrates July 4th one day early with its annual Firecracker Friday Cookout (on July 3). The cookout includes hot dogs, chips, drinks and more.

Open to the public, the cookout is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the bank parking lot, 112 Cherry St., Bluffton.

500 pies a year.

That’s only an estimate of the number of pies Anita Willow, Bluffton Farmers’ Market vendor, bakes in a year.

This is the 10th season as a Bluffton Farmers’ Market vendor for Willow of Arlington.
