Joan Frederick of missElaineous QVC Corner, 417 N. Main St., Bluffton, announces that a new shipment of merchandise is in the shop.

She says that the QVC price is $25 plue $4.47 for shipping and handling. However, the price in the Bluffton shop is only $17.

Fortman sponsors Medicare educational seminar May 19

Fortman Insurance, 115 N. Main St., Bluffton, will sponsor a Medicare Educational Seminar at the Bluffton Senior Center at 9 a.m., Saturday, May 19, according to Branden Fortman.

The seminar should last approximately one hour.

Subject covered include:

o when you become eligible,
o when to sign up, and
o choices involved with Original Medicare Plans Part A and B, Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) and Medicare Advantage Plans.

April 21 and April 28 open house for Backyard Perennials and More

Cindy Basinger of Backyard Perennials and More, 9745 N. Phillips Road, announced a spring open house for her business.

The open house is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 21, and Saturday, April 28.

May business hours are Tuesday to Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Basinger is at the Bluffton farmers' market on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

Baackyard Perennials has a selection of annuals, herbs, perennials, shurubs, trees, vegetables, hanging baskets and other garden products.

The Bluffton Icon introduces The Ada Icon...officially launched today

The Icon became a family today. Fred and Mary Pannabecker Steiner, owners of The Bluffton Icon, announce the launching of The Ada Icon (www.adaicon.com). The Ada site is completely separate from Bluffton; however, it offers the Ada community many of the features of The Bluffton Icon.

Like Bluffton, The Ada Icon is a free, online news source, which covers the community of Ada with daily news, information and opportunities for businesses to advertise their products.
