Ten Thousand Villages offers Bengali rose window mood lamp

Bluffton's Ten Thousand Village store is now offering a rose window mood lamp from Bangladesh for $38, according to Aphaphanh Nussbaum, manager.

"The lamp represents a light of hope to fill holiday homes and hearts," she said. "This cut paper lamp represents the opportunity the Shuktara Handmade Paper workshop provides for Bengali women it employs."

Ten Thousand Villages, 115 S. Main St., is an Icon advertiser. Store hours are Mondays to Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays 1-5 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

30 years later - Webb, Diller, Reichenbach & Steiner still on Main Street - and there's a party on Friday

There's an-all day party on Main Street tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 21) and you are invited.

The Main Street offices of Webb Insurance, Samuel W. Diller, Co., LPA and Reichenbach and Steiner CPAs will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their offices joining together at 138-140 N. Main St. The businesses involved moved into these storefronts in 1981.

The celebrate the anniversary donuts and cider will be served from 8 a.m. on throughout the day in front of the building.
